This year, the Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk & Wheel is VIRTUAL and spanning coast-to-coast-to-coast!

Celebrate mom this year, and choose your own route, pace, and distance while supporting Calgary’s Neonatal Intensive Care Units through Calgary Health Foundation’s Newborns Need Campaign.  The Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk and Wheel is designed for everyone to participate, wherever you are located! The run may look different this year, but the spirit of this event is true to its roots.

Sport Chek and Calgary Health Foundation are proud to honour past traditions, and build new traditions, together.

Let’s celebrate Mom together, and support our Neonatal Intensive Care Units! This year may look different, but Sport Chek is excited to still provide you and your fellow run, walk, and wheelers a participant swag bag. Learn more about this VIRTUAL event’s details here!

Run, walk, or wheel anywhere you please – whether you choose to join together in a run around your community, or a hike in our beautiful outdoors, we hope you join us in celebrating mom in our ongoing Mother’s Day tradition. Track your run using RunKeeper, where your results will automatically sync with your Race Roster Account, and populate the leaderboard. For more details on the virtual race, check out the event details here!

The 2022 Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk & Wheel supports Calgary Health Foundation’s Newborns Need Campaign: Calgary Health Foundation funds breakthrough investments, like giving every newborn a fighting chance. We’re ensuring the one in eight babies born prematurely in our community have access to the best technologies available, and we’re actively addressing Alberta’s higher than average preterm birth rate through applied research. Your participation and support through the Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk, & Wheel will support our ongoing Newborns Need campaign which aims to raise over $60 million to transform neonatal care across Southern Alberta.

Every step you take in the Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk and Wheel is a step for baby Kaveer

A young infant and a dog on a couch, each in a bear costume with pumpkins surrounding themWhen Rippy found out she had diabetes, she was pregnant. The diagnosis was a surprise to her and her family. Due to her diagnosis, her doctor told her that she would have a high-risk pregnancy, but when her cervix started dilating at just 20 weeks, it was the second big surprise for Rippy during her short pregnancy.
